Viewing southward from the paved road, a dirt road leads up the hill to the Skogsböle Mine area. The barrier prevents one from driving any further. The original outcrop has been stripped bare of tantalite specimens and is overgrown with vegetation. However, geologists from the University of Finland state that a few isolated patches of tantalite may remain hidden in the greenery. The mining area itself now produces feldspar for the porcelain and construction industry.
